RGBD and training organizations: compliance with data protection standards

Like all companies, and as part of their activities, training organizations (OF) are required to collect personal data from their customers such as (Name, age, etc.). However, this operation must comply with the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (RGBD).

1. What is RGBD:

The GDPR is a European legislation that came into force in May 2018, the main objective of which is to strengthen the protection of the personal data of individuals within the EU.

2. The obligations of training organizations vis-à-vis the new RGBD standards:

As a regulatory framework, the RGBD requires organizations to respect the standards in force in order to guarantee the confidentiality and security of the data collected. Including the in-depth review of information collection, storage and processing processes, as well as the implementation of appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access.

We add that:

• OFs must have the prior consent of the persons concerned before collecting their data
• Inform them of how their data is processed.
• Implement security measures.
• Delete collected data when processing is no longer necessary
